Fire Cement KOS 500 grams TUB | NATURAL FIRE CEMENT

KOS FIRE CEMENT is a ready mixed blend of thermo setting resins and inorganic fillers that cures when exposed to heat, resulting in a mortar which is resistant to temperatures up to 1250˚C. Can be used for domestic and commercial applications on fire bricks, fire grates, flue pipes, flue bricks, boilers and other applications subject to extreme heat. Offers excellent adhesion to fire bricks, blockwork, stone and clayware, asbestos free.

Areas For Use

Limitations

·       Not suitable as a gas sealant.
·       Always moisten surfaces prior to applying.
·       Always apply heat gradually.

Surface Preparation

All surfaces must be clean, free from dust, grease and other contamination. Wet all surfaces to give a good key.

Application

Use straight form tub. Soften with a small amount of water if required. Wet all surfaces to which cement is to be applied. Work well into the joints. After applying, gradually increase heat over a 4 hour period. Make good any cracks which may form with fresh cement to form a smoke tight seal. Clean tools in warm water and soap after use.

Storage

Store at moderate temperatures in original containers. Keep out of direct sunlight.

Shelf Life

Up to 12 months when stored according to manufacturers instructions.

Mainland England (Zone 1): 2 - 3 Working Days
We send orders by NEXT WORKING DAY COURIER..  We quote 2 - 3 TOTAL working days for delivery (door to door) which includes order process & packing time within the warehouse and allows for any potential delays. 

Scotland (North) & Highlands (Zone 2): 2 - 5 Working Days

Fireparts have recently reduced the postage to Scotland, we and our suppliers are subsidising this heavily from our own profits.  We will have reduced courier costs since mid 2022 and will continue to do so for as long as possible.

Islands: Guernsey, Jersey, IOM, Silly & Isles of White (Zone 3): 3 - 5 Working Days
For NON VAT countries (Guersey & Jersey) submit order on website (DO NOT PAY, select PAY LATER option).  We will then deduct VAT and send you an invoice for payment..  Isle of White Customers VAT is still chargable so can be processed & paid on website as normal.

Ireland (Zone 4): 5 - 10 Working Days

CALL US! to place an order. We need to check the products you require are available for shipment to Ireland.  We will send you an invoice with VAT deducted.

IRELAND (EU): We are taking orders to Republic of Ireland based on a 'best endeavours basis'.  Due to our internal processes, there will be some products we cannot ship to Ireland.  Customers wishing to place an order to Ireland should email us advising the parts required we will then check the parts are available to ship to Ireland.  You may also PLACE AN ONLINE but DO NOT PAY and SELECT 'PAY LATER'.  If ok to ship, we will send you an invoice for payment (deducting VAT).  We would estimate around 10 - 15.  The buyer will be responsible for payment of any import tax via Customers, the Courier will contact you for payment seperately when the parcels reach Ireland depot.

Returns:

Don't worry if you order the incorrect part, notify us within 7 days and return within 14 days.  If we have advised you that your part is a SPECIAL ORDER then there may be a restocking | handling fee. Click for information about HOW TO RETURNDO NOT return any parts to our registered office address in COVENTRY, this is not our warehouse and deliveries will be rejected by the admin team.

To return an item complete the RETURN FORM. We will then advise you a return address for your item.
